Funeral services for former Seminole County resident Ernest "Short" Lee, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at the Little Cemetery Chapel.
Rev. Herbert Jones will officiate.
Interment will follow at Little Cemetery, under the direction of Schumacher Funeral Home of Okemah.
Lee died Thursday, Feb. 27, 2003 in Oklahoma City at the age of 80.
He was born to Thomas Ernest and Hattie Belle (Maloney) Lee on Feb. 11, 1923 in Anadarko.
Lee married Bertha M. O'Brien on Nov. 1, 1941 in Phoenix, Ariz.
He was a retired pipeline foreman having worked for Transok Pipe Line Company for many years, and, he was also a farmer.
Lee moved to Okemah in 1973 after living in the Wetumka and Seminole areas for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Billy Lee; one daughter, Mary Ruth Lee; two brothers, Bill Lee and Arthur Lee; and one sister, Mattie Lee.
Lee is survived by his wife, Bertha, of the home; one son, Ernie Lee, Wetumka; six daughters, Anita Cheatwood, Okemah, Lillian Chesser, Wewoka, Regenia Seeman, Morris, Alice Lee, Okemah, Peggy McCormick, Missouri, and Debbie long, El Reno; one brother, Kenneth Lee, Seminole; 23 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; one step grandchild; and 10 step great-grandchildren.
