Mrs. Alfred Boulant, aged 60 years, died at her home, 707 S. James Street, on Saturday afternoon. She suffered a stroke of paralysis nearly two years ago from which she never fully recovered. He maiden name was Florence Wheeler, daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Zenas Wheeler of Vienna. She was born in Vienna May 9, 1854 and had resided in this city since 1876. Mrs. Boulant was twice married. Her first husband, James Barber, died at Mohawk in 1879. Several years later she married Alfred Boulant of this city who survives with the following children; Elizabeth Barber of New London, Mrs. Edward VanHorn and Harry J. Barber of Syracuse, Mrs. Delet Cooley and Mrs. Frank Gilbert of Rome and the following children by her second husband; Misses Viola and Irene, Fred J. and Leo H. Boulant, who live at home. Also these brothers and sisters, Henry Wheeler of Leyden, Mrs. Mary Potter and Mrs. George Tulley of Lyons Falls, Elbert Wheeler, Mrs. F. M. Wilson and Mrs. W. J. King of Rome, and three step-children Alfred Boulant of Rome, Paul Boulant of of Oriskany Falls and Mr. C. H. Raul of Jackson, Mich. Mrs. Boulant was an attendant of the Liberty Street ME Church and leaves many friends who will extend their sympathy.
