Billy Summerford, 58, a farmer, of Star City, died Sunday at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.
Born January 29, 1932, in Lincoln County, he was a son of the late Bob Summerford and Ella Persons Summerford.
He was a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Glenda Jacks Summerford, who died in 1986.
Survivors include two sons, Joe A. Summerford of Fayetteville and Jack K. Summerford of Star City; a daughter, Jill M. Summerford of Star City; a sister Lorene Telish of Cucamonga, California; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Griffin Funeral Services of Star City with the Rev. Randy Scott officiating. Burial will be in Butler/Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Star City.
