DOVIE GRAVES DENT

Dovie Graves Dent, 87, of Rt. 9, Box 310 in Granbury, died Saturday, Sept. 6. She had lived in Hood County since 1928.
Aunt Dovie was born November 9, 1898 in Copeville. She married W. L. Dent on June 3, 1928 in Dallas and attented East Texas State University then taught school for 41 years.
She was affiliated with Baker Baptist Church and was a member of the Retired Teachers Association and Eastern Star Lodge #530.
Survivors include one sister, Ruth Graves of Dallas, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services wee held Monday, Sept. 8 at Martin's Funeral Home Chapel with internment in Long Creek Cemetery. The Rev. Randy Hachett officiated.
Pallbearers were Garland Porter, Olen Stewart, Gene Whie, Doyle Hutchinson, Clyde Rains, Joe Monroe, Charlie Gray, Claude Peterson and Tim Monroe.
Services were directed by Martin's Funeral Home in Granbury.
