Mary C. Bennett, 81, of Chesterfield, died Sunday, July 29, 2001, at St. John's Health System in that city.

She was born Feb. 9, 1920, in Jefferson County. She was a resident of Vevay until 1992, when she moved to Chesterfield. She was a homemaker.

Surviving are one daughter, Linda Haskett of Yorktown; one brother, Everett Chandler of Charlestown; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clyde Bennett, on Aug. 7, 1991; and one brother, Ralph Chandler.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service in Anderson, with burial at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Grandview Memorial Gardens, Madison.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Parkinson's disease, or the charity of the donor's choice.
