Aron “Pete” Gildon was born September 29, 1944, in Tipton, Oklahoma to Abe and Janie Mae (Baker) Gildon, Jr. He attended Booker T. Washington and later transferred to Boyd High School in Frederick where he graduated with the Class of 1964. He married Wanda Terry of Tipton, Oklahoma. Aron moved to Santa Ana, California where he and his brothers owned and operated an auto detailing business. After his retirement he returned to Frederick on April 15, 2014, to be near his family and friends. Aron “Uncle Pete” was a peaceful and loving man. He was always smiling and had a happy joyful spirit. He attended First Baptist Missionary Church.
Survivors include his finance’ and companion, Linda Turby of the home;
two sons, Adrian Gildon of Oklahoma City and Rodney Gildon and his wife, Christina of Altus; his mother-in-law, Gaynell Drummer of Chicago, Illinois;
one step-son, Anthony Turby; four step-daughter, Danielle Drummer, Adrienell Drummer-Turby, Antoinette Drummer-Turby and Antonia Turby;
one brother, Willie Gildon of Frederick; one sister, Lillie Mae Malone of Clinton; twelve grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; numerous sisters-in-law; nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; eight brothers, Clarence Gildon, Jack Perry, Johnnie Gildon, Royce Gildon, Bobbie Gildon, Bennie Gildon, Edward Gildon and Jackie Ray Gildon; and one sister, Peggy Whitehead.
