She was a born-again Christian who was married to Filemon Gonzales Jr. for 55 years, and a long-time resident of Grants. Mrs. Gonzales was a loving and caring individual who enjoyed being a homemaker and raising their son. She enjoyed attending Bible studies and reading the Bible.
Mrs. Gonzales is survived by her son Richard Gonzales and wife Valerie; her four grandchildren; her aunt Aurora S. Rivera; her sisters Thelma Aguilar, Rebecca Q. Sanchez, Ramona Quintana, Susie Quintana and Juanita Quintana; her brothers David Quintana, Ruben Sandoval and Rudy Sandoval; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Frutoso Quintana and Eufemia Sandoval; her husband Filemon Gonzales Jr.; her brother Louie Armijo and her sister Gloria Quintana.
She was buried along with her husband on Friday, Feb. 10, 2006, at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
