Mr. King passed away Friday at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.

The husband of Sherry N. Smith King, who survives, he worked as a delivery driver for Proctor and Gamble for 24 years and had also worked for Martin Supply for over 10 years. He was born to Ervin Lee King and Mary Lou Ervin King, both of whom preceded him in death and lived most of his life in Jackson and Henderson. He served in the US Air Force and was a graduate of Bolivar Central High School class of 1970. He was loved by many and was always helping others. He was a friend to everyone and loved to tell jokes and make others laugh.

In addition to his wife, whom he married on July 5, 1985, survivors include a daughter, Tonya M. Ross of Beech Bluff; two sons, Kevin W. King of Medina and David M. Moe of Jackson; two sisters, Linda G. Richardson of Missouri and Mary Frances Doyle of Bolivar; two brothers, John W. King of Little Rock, Ark. and David King of Toone; and three grandchildren, Stacy Cupples, Alexandra Ross and Andrew King. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a half brother, J. W. King.
