Virginia Hines Bell, 99, of Fayetteville, Georgia, formerly of Atlanta, passed away June 12, 2014. She retired after 22 years as an Elementary School Teacher for the Fulton County School System.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lawson Bell, Sr. and daughter Marlene Bell. She is survived by her son L. French Bell, Jr. and his wife Ginger; grandchildren Lt. Col. Lawson F. Bell, III of Colorado Springs, CO and Matthew Hines Bell of Portland, OR; great-grandchildren James and Luke Bell of Colorado Springs and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Monday, June 16, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Peachtree City. Father Michael Fry will officiate. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be 2:00 p.m. Eastern and 1 p.m. Central time at Standing Rock Methodist Church Cemetery on Chambers County Road 278, Standing Rock, AL. (Five Points, AL).
