John Calvin Arrington, 51 year old resident of Jay, died at 2:35pm Monday in a Miami hospital following a long illness. Arrington, before moving to Jay was an accountant employed by the Amerada Petroleum Co, Tulsa, for 20 years. At the time of his illness he operated a chicken brooder farm near Jay. He was a memeber of the Methodist Church in Jay. Arrington was born October 31, 1902 in Krebs, Oklahoma to Thomas J and Myrtle Arrington. John married Nora Elzira Allen in Aug 1930.

Survivors include: his wife, Mrs Nora A Arrington; one son, John C Arrington, Jr, both of the home in Jay; his parents Mr. and Mrs. TJ Arrington, Vinita; two brothers, T A Arrington, Vinita and B D Arrington, Tulsa; and two sisters, Mrs C L Hester, Tulsa and Mrs Louis A Dell Totel, Jr, Richmond, California.

Services were held at 2pm Wednesday in Luginbuel Brothers Funeral home chapel. Rev James Eagan, pastor of the Methodist Church in Jay, officiated. He was assisted by Rev Wayne Coffin, pastor of the First Methodist here. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery.
