MEADOW BRIDGE (RNS) - Mrs. Ella Jane Forren, 74, of Meadow Bridge, died Saturday in a Beckley hospital after a long illness.
Born at Blue Sulphur Springs, Aug. 10, 1898, was a daughter of the late Jake and Betty Clingman Smith.
She was a member of the Meadow Bridge United Methodist Church and Order of Eastern Start Lodge No. 104.
Survivors include her husband, Lon; seven daughters, Mrs. Elsie Mae Young of Palmeroy, Ohio, Mrs. Betty Bailey of Rock Falls, Ill., Mrs. Mildred Bowyer of Danese, Mrs. Gaye Pope of Rock Falls, Ill., Mrs. Thelma Sproles and Mrs. Leda Hann, both of Carrolton, Va., and Miss Marie Foreen (sic), at home; five sons, Fred of Brenton, Charles of Rock Falls, Ill., Verl of Philippines, Clinton of Meadow Bridge and Joe of Windgate, N. C.; one sister, Mrs. Nannie Stickler of Charleston; two brothers, Ed and Lawrence, both of Rainelle; 28 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Meadow Bridge Untied Methodist Church with Rev. Homer Elkins and Rev. James Yates in charge. Burial will be in Patton Memorial Cemetary at Meadow Bridge.
Friends may call at Smathers Funeral Home in Rainelle afetr (sic) 5 p.m. today.
OES members will conduct graveside rites.
