George Frank Allain was the son of Ambrose Allain and Leona Faucher. He married Elma Cheffer, daughter of Joseph Cheffer and Exilda St-Pierre, 4 Oct 1905 at St. Anne, Kankakee County, Illinois.

George Frank Allain, 82, a former resident of many years in St. Anne, was killed Wednesday afternoon in a three car collision on Highway 135 in Lafe Community, 10 miles north of Paragould, Arkansas. The body was taken to Langford's Funeral Service, Jonesboro, Arkansas.

For the past 10 years Mr. Allain had lived at RR2 in Jonesboro, where he had been with Quality Gladioli Gardens. He was returning from a trip to this area when the accident occurred.

He was the son Mr. and Mrs. Ambrose Allain; his mother was the former Leona Faucher. George was very active in Church activities during his lifetime. While living in St. Anne, Illinois, he belonged to the Presbyterian Church. He was their Sunday School Superintendent and was an elder of the Church. After moving to Jonesboro he became a member of the Jonesboro Central Baptist Church and was active in the Men's Bible class.

Surviving him are his wife, Elma (died 25 Apr 1973); son, Eldon of Decatur, Georgia (died 21 Mar 1988), Mrs. Iola Ferris of Decatur, Illinois (died 7 May 1997 and Mrs. Louella Sirois of Jonesboro, Arkansas; sister, Mrs. Aurelia Webb of Kankakee; (died May 1982) brothers, Edwin of Booneville, Missouri (died Nov 1985), Hugh William (died 7 Apr 1982) and Jewett (died Mar 1982)of Sarasota, Florida, and Chester (died 22 Jan 1990) of Anchorage, Alaska; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Service was at the Jonesboro Church at 2:30 p.m. today with the Rev. Curtis Mathis officiating. Interment was in the Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.
