SHERIDAN - Funeral services for Samuel Ellis Bryant were held Tuesday morning at Pershall's Sheridan Funeral home. Interment was in the Buck Hollow cemetery near Willamina.
Mr. Bryant was born in Veneta, Okla., June 21, 1898. He moved to Washington in 1906 to Okanagan county and attended schools at Riverside, Wash. He joined the Marines in 1916, was married in McMinnville in 1924 and has since resided in this area. He was a life member of the National Rifle association and was employed by the O.K. Rubber Welders Tire service in Willamina the past 14 years. He died May 25 near Willamina.
Survivors include his widow, Roxie, Willamina; two sons, Jack and James; brothers, Ernest Bryant of Selah, Wash., and William, Earl and Ray Bryant all of Myrtle Creek; sisters, Olean Jackson, Walla Walla, Wash., Ethel Baird (#62118888), Roseburg, and Vernie Starbuck of Myrtle Creek.
