Funeral services for Betty Joyce Dockery Hall, 86, of Tyler are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 20, 2014, at First Baptist Church Gresham with the Revs. Roy Thoene and Nathan Otto officiating under direction of Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Tyler.
Mrs. Hall passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2014, in Tyler. She was born July 19, 1927, in Tyler to the late Harvey Scott and Vera Wolf Foster. She retired from UT Health Northeast as a switchboard operator and was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Gresham. She was preceded in death by her first husband and mother of their children, Harvey Dockery; by her second husband, Alvin Dockery; and third husband, Robert Hall; three sons, Thomas, Steven and Anthony Dockery. She was the last of 12 children, six sisters and five brothers.
Survivors are sons and daughters-in-law, Ennis and Betty and James and Jean Ann Dockery; daughters and son-in-law, Kathy and Samuel Oldham and Janice Basile; 30 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
The family will receive friends at Burks Walker Tippit from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday.
