William E. Griggs of Washington Twp. passed away on 11/16/2005 at the age of 49.
Beloved husband of 27 years to Dorothea T.(nee Claffey) Devoted father of Jacqueline M., Courtney N. and Samantha A. Griggs; loving son of William B. and Lillian M.(nee Cross)Griggs. Dear brother of Lillian Griggs Myers(Paul, Sr. ), Robert D.(Dawn) and Kathleen M. Griggs. Also survived by his mother-in-law Dorothea T. Claffey and his sisters-in-law Patricia Agli, Theresa Slauson(James and Kimberly Cinaglia(Louis).
Bill graduated from Highland High School in 1974 where he was the class president and captain of the track, football and wrestling teams. Bill worked for the International Longshoremen Association, Greenwich Terminal on Packer Ave., Philadelphia, Pa. He was also a line runner for the family business, Griggs Waterfront. Bill was the captain of the Blackwood Mummers "Plural Comics" for over 25 years. Billy-Boy will always be remembered as a wonderful father and family man.
