Edith Bonnette Chism, 74, of Higbee, Missouri passed away on March 3, 2014 at the Moberly Regional Medical Center.
Bonnette was born on March 22, 1939 to Virgil and Odessa (Lusby) Lyon in Higbee, Missouri. On May 17, 1957, she married T.J. "Junior" Chism and were married for 50 years before he preceded her in death in 2008. She worked as a seamstress for many years in Glasgow, Missouri for the Kellwood Company. Bonnette loved spending time with her 4 granddaughters, being outside, and cooking.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Forrest and Dallas; sisters: Doris, Margie, and Juanita.
Bonnette is survived by her two sons: Christopher (Debbie) of Higbee, Missouri, and Eric (Beth) of Perryville, Missouri; granddaughters: Amanda, Emily, Kristen and Caitlyn; sister-in-law, Mary Kay Noah of Moberly, Missouri, several nieces and nephews; and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2014 from 5:00 p.m until 7:00 p.m at the Million Taylor Funeral Homes of Higbee. Funeral Service will take place on Sunday, March 9, 2014 at 2:00 p.m at the funeral home with Pastor John Bill Spilman and Rev. Eric Chism officiating. Burial will follow at the Higbee City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Higbee Senior Center.
