John and his wife Edna married Nov 13, 1920 in Talladega, Al.
They had a dairy farm for many years and were both faithful members of Eastaboga Baptist Church until their deaths. John maintained excellent health through out his life and was never hospitalized or took any meds. He did suffer some hearing loss later in life. He died of a massive coronary, never regaining consciousness, 25 years after Edna died. John never remarried after Edna's death, she was his one great love.
