World War II Veteran

Bob was born on May 26, 1923, in Coldwater to William J. & Jessie (Holmes) Linton.

He married Delores Stempien on January 12, 1957, in Coldwater.

He worked in Quality Control for Simpson Industries in Fremont, Indiania for 23 years, retiring in 1988.
He previously had taught history for Grass Lake Schools.

Bob was a lifelong resident of the Coldwater area.
He graduated from Coldwater High School in 1941 & Albion College in 1949.

Bob served in the U.S. Marine Corps & was a Veteran of WWII, receiving 2 Purple Heart medals.

Bob attended St. Charles Catholic Church.

Bob was a member of the American Legion Post #52 of Coldwater, VFW & Pheasants Forever. He was a former member of the Eagles & Moose Lodge, both of Coldwater.

Bob was an avid sports fan & golfer.


He is survived by his wife Delores.

His sons: Robert Craig (Linda Susan) Linton of Bronson, Randall (Vanessa) Linton of Coldwater, & David Kerr of Gran Haven, Michigan.

His daughters: Ragen Ann (Robin) Shook of Coldwater & Pamela Adams of Centerville, Ohio.

Sister: Doris Nowaski of Interlochen, Florida.

He is also survived by 9 grandchildren & many other family members who will miss him.

He was preceeded in death by his parents & brothers, Glen & Roy Linton.
