Tommie S. Bloxom, 90, passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at Fairfield Nursing and Rehab. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m., Friday, March 7, 2014, in Greenwood Cemetery in Teague. Bro. Steve Cowart will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home.

Tommie Marie was born in Teague, Texas, and lived in Teague for almost all of her life. Tommie was a dedicated homemaker all of her life. She was a faithful member of Eighth Avenue Baptist Church in Teague for over 73 years. Tommie was active in numerous church activities through the years, but especially enjoyed working with small children during Vacation Bible School and sending out invitations to church events using her beautiful handwriting.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mack Daniel Bloxom; brother, William "Bill" "Squib" Savage; sister-in-law, Happy Savage; and brother-in-law, Bill Bloxom.

She is survived by son, William Mack Bloxom, of Fairfield; grandchildren: Jarred Bloxom and wife, Brenda, Kristin Ward, and Adam Wood; numerous great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Hazel Bloxom, of Teague; brother-in-law, Jack Bloxom and wife, Janie, of Arkansas; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
