Shirley deMesa Stratton, 39, of Bernie, MO died in Clay County, Ark. She had lived in Bernie for about five years. She was born Sept. 15, 1970, at Olongapo City, Phillippines. She lived in Olongapo City most of her life. She received an Associates degree from Columban College in Olongapo City. She formerly worked for the U.S. Navy and later worked for FedEx for 10 years. She also worked at Southeast Missouri Treatment Center in Poplar Bluff. On April 26, 2004, she was married to John Wayne Stratton. He Survives. Other survivors include three sons, Fraisher deMesa Morales, Frenzel deMesa Morales and Gabriel John Stratton, all of the home; one step-son, Quincy Wayne Stratton of Bernie; one step-daughter, Christy Marie Stratton of Bernie; one brother, Julian deMesa, Jr.; five sisters, Marife, Marissa, Christy, Marianne and Julie Ann deMesa, all of Olongapo City; her mother, Anita Juarez deMesa of Olongapo City; five step-grandchildren, Dylan Wiseman, Hunter Drake Stratton, Seth Wayne Stratton, Evelyn Louise Stratton and Zachary Alexander Stratton. Visitation will begin at 6 P.M. Friday at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk. The funeral will be at 10 A.M. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jim Sanders officiating. Burial will be in Brown Chapel Cemetery.
