Veteran Teacher Cora Aldous Retiring (Thursday, May 13, 1965)
Mrs. Cora Aldous, whose teaching career covers a span of 46 years--29 of which have been in the Wickenburg schools, is retiring at the close of this school year.
Her associates on the faculty of the two elementary schools are holding a reception for Mrs. Aldous and her husband Newt in the auditorium of the MacLennan School this coming Sunday (May 16). It is expected that many men and women who were in Mrs. Aldous' classes but are no longer residents of Wickenburg will come here Sunday to join with others in paying her honor.
Declaring that Mrs. Aldous' efforts have enriched and inspired our community," Mayor Jerry Vinyard has proclaimed Sunday (May 16) as "Cora Aldous Day."
