Myrtle Gray Adcock Huntersville- Myrtle Gray Adcock, 89, passed away Dec. 30, 2013, in Huntersville, North Carolina. Preceded in death by her beloved husband Henry T. Adcock, and her parents, Oelwein and Ethel Gray, she is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Holder (Duane) of Huntersville, NC, granddaughter, Stefanie Langefels (Don) and three great-grandchildren, Keegan, Kailey, and Kameron Langefels, all of Eden Prairie, MN. Myrtle, affectionately known as Lee, originally lived with her husband in MD. Following his death, she moved to Daytona Beach, and then later Melbourne, FL., where she remained until 2012, when she moved to Huntersville to live with her daughter. Wanting to remain active, she joined the Huntersville Senior Center and University City Womens Group and for many years prior, she was a Realtor and a member of the Eastern Star and the Moose. Lee loved being with people and was always a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She was dearly loved and will be missed and remembered by all. National Cremation Service of Charlotte is assisting the family. Memorial service will be held this spring at Glen Haven Memorial Park in Glen Burnie, MD.

Myrtle's father Oelwein was born Dec. 23, 1903 in Elliott, Dorchester Co., MD. He passed away Jan. 20, 1977 in Volusia Co., FL. Myrtle's mother was Ethel Lee Mister born Apr. 5, 1901 in Calvert Co., MD. She passed away Dec. 26, 1974 in Volusia Co.,FL. Oelwin's father was Louis Grant Gray born 1874 in MD. and his mother was Bertha Marie Elliott born in 1879 in MD.

Ethel's father was Guy C. Mister born in Jan. 1882 in MD. and her mother was Emma Gertrude Elliott born in 1884 in about MD.

Bertha Marie Elliott was the daughter of Zacharia Elliott and Annie Buckmaster and Emma Gertrude was the daughter of John Hazard Elliott and Sarah E. Hammett. Zacharia and John were sons of Abel Elliott.

Myrtle married Henry Adcock on Jan. 21, 1943 in Bradenton, Manatee.

Henry Adcock (Lee's husband) was born June 8, 1918 in Baltimore, MD. and passed away Nov. 1, 1972 in Arnold, Anne Arundel Co., MD. He was buried in Glen Haven Memorial Park. Henry was the son of Henry Thomas and Mabel (Chaulklin) Adcock. There are many variations of the Chaulkin spelling.

Myrtle was cremated and her ashes will be spread in the Chesapeake Bay at a later date. She will have a memorial plaque next to her husband in the Glen Haven Memorial Park.
