Betty Carol Glass Bruin, 78, wife to Charles W. Bruin for over 60 years, passed away at Hospice Care Center in Lexington Friday, February 7, 2014. She was born in Owen County, Kentucky on December 27, 1935 to Estell Howard Glass of Owen County and the late Thurmand Glass. She worked in child care over 58 years, was a member of Gano Baptist Church, and was an avid gardener.


In addition to her husband and mother she is survived by her children, Charles Gary Bruin, Jerry Allen Bruin, Judy Carol Bruin-Thomas all of Georgetown; grandchildren, Charlie William Bruin II, Michael Todd Grizzle and Nikki Taylor Thomas; great grandchildren, Ryan, Caden and Jared Grizzle; brother, Frank Glass of Miamisburg, Ohio, a sister, Sue Glass Bruin of Georgetown and several nieces and nephews.


Funeral services will be 11am, Tues. 2/11/2014, at Gano Baptist Church with Rev. Harry Hargis officiating. Burial will follow at Georgetown Cemetery with pallbearers being grandsons and family. Honorary bearers will be Deacons of Gano Baptist Church.
