Obituary - Layton -- Alfred James Morgan, 86, farmer and stockman of Layton, cited this morning at his home after an extended illness. Mr. Morgan was a member of the LDS Layton Seventh Ward and was a high priest in the Layton Stake. He had assisted in the construction of the Davis and Weber Canal System.He was born April 7, 1869, in Kaysville, a son of Joseph and Hannah Weaver Morgan. He had lived most of his life in Layton with the exception of a short time in Kaysville during his early life and later homesteading in Burley, Idaho. On December 28, 1891, he married Emily Ellis in Kaysville. She died July 30, 1928. On February 19, 1930, he married Elizabeth Nalder in the LDS Salt Lake Temple.
