My father had two brothers, Charles Potts, and Robert Potts. He was a Navy veteran in the Korean war, serving the years 1950 - 1954. He married my mother, Alice Jeannette Gates Potts on October 5, 1957. My father was also known for teaching guitar, having mastered guitar theory and had many students over a span of about 60 years. I, Sharon Jean (Potts) Maxey am the only child from their marriage, having two daughters; Sarah Hurley and Jennifer Hurley (granddaughters).
