Born in Williamstown on Aug. 24, 1923, she was the daughter of Charles and Jesse (Ellsworth) Hunt. She attended Williamstown schools and was employed at Ankin Chemical Company. Mrs. Archambault was a communicant of Saints Patrick and Raphael Church in Williamstown, She enjoyed crafting, sewing, and cooking for her family. She had a great love for her children, grandchildren, and animals, especially dogs.
Her husband, Hermenegild "Red" Anthony Archambault, whom she married in July 1941, died on July 19, 1992.
Mrs. Archambault is survived by two daughters, Judith Simpson and her husband, John, of Granby, CT; and Donna Mason of Williamstown; and one son, John "Jack" Archambault of Onset, MA. She also leaves eight grandchildren, Gary Szlachetka, Darrell Szlachetka, Heather Goodell, Warren Mason, Dr. Deirdre Mason-Hauver, Jamie Archambault, Bree Archambault and Bear Archambault, as well as six great-grandchildren, Danielle Archambault, Ashley Goodell, Kaylie Archambault, Taylor Mason, Brandon Mason and A. Greyer; several nieces and nephews; her cousin, Emma Jobin; and her former son-in-law, James Mason of North Adams.
She was predeceased by a grandson, Tony Archambault, who died in 1991, four brothers, Charles Hunt, Jr., Henry Hunt, Roy Hunt and Richard Hunt, and two sisters, Dolores Hunt and Catherine Speanberg.
FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday June 26, 2012, at 12 Noon at Saints Patrick and Raphael Church, Williamstown MA. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Cemetery. A calling hour will be held one hour preceding the funeral in the church.
