Mrs. Charles B. Bittenbender, 91, of 903 West Diamond avenue, died yesterday afternoon at 1:45 o'clock at St. Joseph Hospital, where she had been a patient since Monday. She was born in Harleigh, September 2, 1875, the daughter of the late Andrew and Sarah Wallace Lee, and resided in this city most of her life. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
Her husband, a former councilman and mayor of this city, died in 1950. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Charles (Marion) Fisher, at home; one sister, Mrs. B. Leroy Stauffer, Sunbury, a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Private funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. from the Krapf and Hughes Funeral Home, with Rev. Dr. Frederick B. Crane officiating. Interment will be in Vine Street Cemetery. There will be no viewing.
