Sara Gyla Buckingham died Jan. 2, 1994, at the Wyoming State Training School in Lander of natural causes. She was 86.
She was born to Joseph A. and Mabel B. (Todd) Buckingham on Sept. 15, 1907. She was raised on the family homestead on Little Piney.
She moved to Story in 1946, where she resided with her mother until her mother's death and later lived with her brother.
She had made the school her home for the past 30 years.
She was preceded in death by three brothers.
Survivors include a brother, Curtis Buckingham of Cody and one sister, Della McLaughlin of Canyon city, Texas, along with several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday at Little Piney Cemetery at Kearney. Champion Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may benefit the Wyoming Crippled Childrens Camp at Buffalo, in care of Delphine Toner, First Interstate Bank, Sheridan.
