May 2003 - Passage. Thelma Singleton Huish, age 86, passed away peacefully April 30, 2003 in her home with her daughters by her side.

Born December 10, 1916 in Salt Lake City, daughter of Eugene and Louise Robertson Singleton. Married her lifetime sweetheart, Searl Oral Huish March 20, 1936 in the Salt Lake Temple; he preceded her in death October 14, 1993. Together they had three beautiful daughters that they treasured dearly. She served in many callings in the LDS Church and supported her husband while he served a mission in New England by working as a Purchasing Agent at the State Liquor Commission where she worked for 29 years.

Survived by daughters, Shawna (Robert) Langford, Bluffdale; Gaylene (Gerald) Clements, South Jordan; 11 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren who loved her very much and will miss her beautiful smile; sister, LaVon (Robert) Dea, Magna. Also preceded in death by daughter, Laura (Toby) Louise Wilson; two sisters and three brothers.

Funeral services will be held Monday, May 5, 2003, 11:00 a.m. at the Bluffdale 1st Ward Chapel, 14400 South Camp Williams Road. Friends and family may call Sunday, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Monday at the church, 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Spanish Fork City Cemetery. --Online Deseret News, May 3, 2003.
