Jesse Alexander, 95, of Springfield, formerly of Pleasant Plains, died Wednesday, March 28, 2001, at St. John's Hospital. He was born Feb. 10, 1906, in Monticello, Ky., the son of James and Mary Whithers Alexander. He married Eva Leona Koontz in 1927 in Kentucky; she preceded him in death in 1977.
Mr. Alexander, a resident of Springfield since 1973, was formerly employed by Armco Drainage Co. and as a security guard. He was a member of Ashland Baptist Church.
Survivors: a daughter; 11 nieces; and two nephews.
Services: Vancil Memorial Chapel, the Rev. Clifton Presley officiating. Burial: Pleasant Plains Cemetery.
