Austin served his country proudly in the United States Navy. Austin was married February 26, 1949 in French Lick, IN. to Geneva Nonte. He and Geneva were married for nearly 65 years and together raised five children. Austin was employeed with the Ford Motor Company for 26 years. He was a member of the St. Cecilia Catholic Church, the Holy Name Society and the VFW. Austin enjoyed being a member of the Tuesday Morning Old Timers League at Oak Knoll in Crown Point, IN. and in his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and gardening.
Austin is survived by his loving wife, Geneva "Genny" Anderson; children - John (Debby) Anderson of Rensselaer, IN, Bonnie (John) Kennedy of Rensselaer, IN, Michael (Sue) Anderson of DeMotte, IN, Cheryl (Kevin) Mosher of Wheatfield, IN, and Ronald (Mary Ann) Anderson of DeMotte,IN. Brother - Charles L. (Norma Lee) Anderson of Dyer, IN. 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Austin was preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters.
Father Dave Officiating. Entombment will follow at the Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso, IN.
