Mortuary Notice: Death of Mr. Henry S. Duffee
~Mr. Henry S. Duffee, formerly of Columbus, died Saturday night in Birmingham. The remains were brought here yesterday at noon, and the funeral services occurred in this city, the interment taking place in Linwood cemetery. Mr. Duffee was 76 years of age, and death was due more to general debility than to any particular complaint. Mr. Duffee worked for many years at the Columbus Iron Works in the capacity of molder, and had many friends here who are pained over his death. He went from Columbus to Birmingham a number of years ago. The funeral services yesterday were conducted by Dr. W.H. Smith. The pallbearers were Messrs. M.M. Moore, D.A. Andrews, A.A. Carson, John C. Cook, E.M. Averett and James Matthews.
Married Margaret Elizabeth Rees 14 Oct 1852, Muscogee County, Georgia.
