Lenora M. (Kuhn) Lang, 87, Hays, died Monday, August 19, 2013 at the Hays Medical Center.

She was born November 14, 1925 near Victoria, Kansas the daughter of Alfons M. and Mary (Windholz) Kuhn. On April 6, 1948 she married George A. Lang in Victoria. She was a graduate of Victoria Rural High School and worked at Walker Air Force Base during World War II. She later worked at Wiesners Department Store and for Bell Telephone Company at the switchboard. She was a member of the St. Nicholas of Myra Catholic Church, the St. Nicholas prayer group, the Altar Society Christian Mothers, the Eucharistic Perpetual Adorers, the Daughters of Isabella, and the Hays Medical Center Auxiliary.

Her hobbies included sewing, cooking, playing on her computer, taking care of her family, and her grandchildren. She was a lifelong learner and loved to pray and go to the perpetual adoration chapel.

Survivors include her husband George, of the home, one son Paul Lang and wife Linda of Hays, daughters Barbara Randa and husband Gene of Salisbury, N.C., and Kathleen Goeken and husband John of Shorewood, Illinois, two sisters Cora Lou Ryan of Victoria, Kansas and Alice M. DeHart of Renton, WA, grandchildren Jenny Lang of McPherson, KS, Stacy Blau and husband Josh of Kansas City, Amber Harvell and husband Daniel of Cornelius, NC, Bryson and Brent Randa of Salisbury, NC, and Aron and Danielle Goeken of Shorewood, Illinois, step grandchildren, Jennifer Gall and husband Eric of Crest Hill, Illinois and John B. Goeken of Plainfield, Illinois, step great grandson, Noah Gall of Crest Hill, Illinois and a soon to be great grandchild, Teegan Harvell.

She was preceded in death by a daughter Mary Georgine Lang, an infant brother Paul Kuhn, sisters Clara Kuhn and Mildred Goetz, and brothers in law Edwin Patterson, Louis DeHart, Richard Ryan, and Marvin Goetz.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Friday, August 23, 2013 at the St. Nicholas of Myra Catholic Church, Hays. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 4:00 until 8:00 pm and on Friday from 9:00 am until 9:45, all at the Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1906 Pine. A combined Christian Mothers and Perpetual Adorers rosary will be at 4:30, a Daughters of Isabella rosary will be at 6:30 and a parish vigil service will be at 7:00pm, all on Thursday at the funeral home.
