Pearl was the daughter of Louis Lee Elmo and Laura Bell (Asberry) Edwards. She was a twin and born just before midnight on New Year's Eve December 31st, 1907. Her twin brother, Earl was born just after midnight on New Year's Day January 1st 1908. He died 11 months later. Pearl married Walter Minger of Dexter on February 10th 1924 at the age of 16. To this union four children were born; Lloyd Lee (1924), Helen Onita (1929), Betty Jo (1931) and Thelma Jean (1935). She and Walter lived in the Chicago area for twenty-eight years before moving to Monticello, Indiana. Pearl died at the age of 84. Walter died seven years later at the age of 92.
