Alice May Watson born 20 Dec 1893 in Rockdale, Tx to father Charles Christopher Watson and mother Emma Lee (Arthur) Watson. Alice eloped and married Robert Howard Jones, a farmer, on 6 Mar 1910 in Coleman, Tx. Alice lived the rest of her life in Coleman and Brown counties while with Robert, he died on 25 Jan 1945, having seven children; Howard C, Lena V, Robert L, Marie O, Charley R, Eunita M, Melba J Jones. Alice married J M Lemons on Aug 1, 1952 at Brownwood, Tx. Alice and J M were members of the Baptist Temple church, later Hillcrest Baptist church, and active in all church matters. Alice May died on Sunday Oct 1, 1972 in a local hospital Brownwood, Tx and buried in the Bangs, Tx cemetery.

Funeral for Mrs. Alice Mae Lemons, 77, of 311 Lipscomb in Brownwood, was to be at 3 p.m. today at Davis-Morris Funeral Home with Rev. Chester Sylverster and Bob Riley officiating.
Burial was to be in Bangs Cemetery.
She died at 4:15 a.m. Sunday at Brownwood Community Hospital after a long illness.
Mrs. Lemons was born Dec. 28, 1894 at Rockdale and married J.M. Lemons in August, 1953 at Killeen. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and a resident of Brownwood 27 years.
Survivors include her husband of Brownwood; three sons, Howard C. Jones, Robert Lee Jones and Charles Ray Jones, all of Brownwood; four daughters, Lena Reynolds, Mrs. George H. Burroughs and Mrs. E.E. Collier, all of Brownwood, and Mrs. Joe V. Templin of Dallas; three sisters, Mrs. George Hipp of Santa Anna, Ethel Gardner and Alnie Hillard, both of Killeen; two brothers, Kervin Watson of Killeen and Walter Watson of Rockdale; one stepson Edwin Lemons of Fort Hood; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Johnnie Ruble of North Carolina; 22 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
