DAVENPORT - Dolores H. Connaughy, of Davenport, died Friday, December 30, 2005, at the Good Samaritan Care Center. Funeral services will be Monday, January 2, 2006, at 11:30 a.m. at the Runge Mortuary, Davenport. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the mortuary. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Davenport. Memorials may be made to Genesis Hospice House. Dolores was born March 8, 1919, in Tipton, Iowa, the daughter of Christian and Agnes (Gunderlach) Schroeder. She was united in marriage to Billy L. Connaughy on March 8, 1952, in Cicero, Ill. He died on March 21, 1985. Dolores worked for the former Northwestern Bell Telephone Co. for 37 years prior to her retirement. Those left to honor her memory include sister, Martha McGinnis, Davenport; nieces, Ruth McGinnis and Trenna Malone, both of Davenport; nephews and spouses, Roy and Janet McGinnis, Channahon, Ill., Gene and June Rochholz, Muscatine, Iowa, Rolland Rochholz, Moline, Kenneth Rochholz, Walcott, Iowa, and Wendell and Wanda Rochholz, Pleasant Valley, Iowa; and numerous great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Nora Rochholz, and a brother, Fritz Schroeder.
