Mrs. Gladys Mullinax Brockett, wife of Claude L. Brockett, of 2212 Edgefield Road, died in Medical University, Charleston, Monday night.
Native of Spartanburg; teacher at Spartanburg High School and Pine Street School for many years; former personnel manager at Beaumont Mill; was one of the first lady realtors of Spartanburg; at the time of death, sales manager for Margaret M. Taylor, Antiques and Interiors; member of Fernwood Baptist Church; graduated Magna Cum Laude at Converse College; daughter of the late Joshua and Margaret Williams Mullinax.
Also surviving: sister, Mrs. Scott Taylor of Spartanburg.
Services 4 today at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel by Dr. W.L. Ball and the Rev. John Drake; burial in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers: Harry Haar, Jervey Dupre, Jim McAndrews, Earl Bagwell, Brandon Taylor, and Dr. Perry Trakas.
