He was a member of the Protestant faith, had a strong faith in God and enjoyed sharing that with his family. Allen enjoyed fishing, racing and was a very good cook. He truly loved his family and his many foster children and was a good friend to many and will be missed very much.
He is survived by his wife Laura and two sons Richard and Christopher of Standish and two brothers Michael of Susanville, Calif., Rick of Texas; sisters, Sherry Holmes of Susanville and Cathey Barnes of Susanville. Graveside services for von Brandt will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 24 at Diamond Crest Cemetery.
