Aaron was last enumerated in the 1860 census with his family in Eastern Division, Randolph, North Carolina (Cedar Falls). In the following 1870 census, his widow, Nancy Delania "Lany" (Turner) Frazier and children are located in Marshall, Parke Co., IN. It is believed that Aaron was killed during the Civil War and as of yet, final resting place is not known.

Aaron and Nancy were married 4 July 1840 in Randolph, North Carolina, United States (names on the document were Allen Frazor and Lany Turner).

They were the parents of six known children: Mary Liza Frazier 1841–1904, Huldah Elizabeth Frazier 1844–1922, Sarah Frazier 1846–1930, Henry Clayborn Frazier 1848–1917, Susannah Jane "Susan" Frazier 1850–1913 and David Scott Frazier 1852-1933.
