Ella Lukehart-Rogers died approximately 6 months after giving birth to her daughter Lucille Catherine Rogers. Ella's husband, Toney Omar Rogers, became distraught and could no longer care for his children.

They were fostered out as follows:
It is unknown where Ruby L. Rogers lived. I cannot locate her in any 1910 U.S. Census records.

Lester Rogers is said to have lived with Martha "Mattie" Maybelle Rogers-Koch. I cannot locate him in any 1910 U.S. Census records. In 1910 Lester would have been 13/14 years old. It’s possible he left and lived on his own.

Gilbert Elwood Rogers (also known by his middle name of Elwood) lived with William & Laura New. He is found in the 1910 U.S. District 0062 – Union, Daviess, Missouri Census as Elwood Rogers & relation to household as “orphan”. Gilbert never married and no children.

Ross Rogers (no middle name) can be located in the 1910 U.S. District 0062 – Union, Daviess, Missouri Census living with his grandparents James & Matilda Rogers. Ross never married and no children.

Lucille Catherine Rogers was raised by her mother’s sister, Ida M. Lukehart-Lester. You can find Lucille's name in the 1910 U.S. District 0047 – Reno, Grant, Oklahoma Census
with The Lester Family as relation to household “niece”.

Toney never remarried and committed suicide in 1931.
