Jerry loved trains, TV westerns, the story of the Titanic, NASCAR, Columbus Clippers baseball, the music of Pink Floyd as well as country gospel, and traveling. Most of all, Jerry loved his family and friends, and they loved him.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Robin, whom he married in 1992; his parents, Albert Lee Martin and Opal Fern Vannoy Martin; his brother, Robert (Sharon) Martin; many other relatives and friends; and cat, Tiger.
Predeceased by grandmother, Biddie Alexander; father-in-law, Frank T. Oldham, Jr.; and other relatives.
Jerry's life was celebrated with a beautiful service officiated by Rev. Jay Schlenker of the Obetz Church of the Nazarene on October 6, 2005, followed by his interment at Arlington Burial Park in Canal Winchester, OH.
Jerry left us suddenly and much too soon. Although his absence leaves an empty place in our lives, we know Jerry is present with the Lord, and the memory of his wonderful stories and his smile will remain with us forever.
"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28
"Cast all your care upon Him, for He careth for you." I Peter 5:7
"The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and saves the crushed in spirit."
Psalm 34:18
