Woodford, Jan 25 [1917] - W B Boles, about 60 years of age, died at a hospital in Columbia Wednesday night, where he had been ill for some time after an operation. The funeral and interment took place at Pen Branch cemetery, Woodford, this afternoon.

Mr Boles was a prosperous farmer of Woodford ad an ative member of the Methodist church here. The sympathy of the entire community is with the bereaved family.

He is survived by his widow, who was miss Della Martin; his daughters, Mrs Ella Boles O'Brien, Miss Annie Boles and Mrs , Clyde Fogle, Livingston; four sons, Julian Boles, who is a corporal in the army at Honolulu, Hawaii; Jesse Boles, who is in the army at El Paso, Texas; Hillie Boles and Tal Boles, who are living here; his sister, Mrs M C Wingard, and brothers John Boles and Jasper Boles.

Wm Boles, of Orangeburg County, Dies in Columbia

Orangeburg, Jan 30 [1917] - Mr William Boles, a prominent farmer of the Woodford section of this county, died at a Columbia hospital after a serious operation. The funeral took place at Penn Branch cemetery yesterday afternoon, conducted by the Knights of Pythias Lodge, to which Mr Boles belonged. He was a member of the Methodist church and took an active part in church work.

Surviving the deceased are his widow, who was Miss Idella Martin, and sons and daughters as follows: Julian Boles, United States Army; Jesse Boles, with the South Carolina infantry at El Paso; Tal and Hillie Boles of Woodford; Mrs Clyde Fogle of Livingston; Miss Annie Boles of Woodford; Mrs Ella Boles O'Brien of Woodford; also a sister, Mrs M C Wingard, and two brothers, John Boles and Jasper Boles, of the Woodford section.
