Sharon Cecile "Harris" Larkin (1932 - 2013)
At home, surrounded by the comforting sounds of family and friends, Mother began her next journey. Mom spent 81 years loving, supporting, protecting and giving guidance to family and friends. The 62-year long love story with our father, Marty, is the foundation which guides us in raising our families. Forever grateful are her children: Debbie Rees (Charles), Ken Larkin (Donna), Cindy DeAmaral (Jim) and Larry Larkin (Tanya). Seven grandchildren, Carolyn, Jake, Rochelle, Nicole, Kate, Corinna, and Daina are forever blessed with her deep love and devotion. Great granddaughters, Charley and Harper will inherit lessons and family stories from preceding generations thanks to Mother's precious family reunions. The "Can-Do" mom, with a contagious passion for extended family, which included PG High athletes, Mother lead by example in her priorities. Using technology skills learned two steps beyond any peer, Mother created countless albums documenting her most valuable treasure, time spent with loved ones. Mother's parents, Rev. Thomas Cecil Harris and Ruth Gilbert Harris, created enriching childhood experiences for siblings, Honey (Carolyn) Pere (Ray), Juanita Mehringer (John), Margaret Harris (Roger), Guy Harris and Nathana Humphreys (Robert) resulting in their everlasting bond. As in her own words last week, "It was a great time!"
A Family Interment Service will be held Friday, August 16, 2013 in Pacific Grove. A Life Celebration is Sunday, August 18, 2013 from 11:00am-2:00pm at Sally Griffin Senior Center, 700 Jewell, Pacific Grove.
