Frostburg, October 16, 1939-Final rites for Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Hartig, 68, wife of Philip Hartig, Sr., who died Friday night at the home of her son, Martin Hartig, North Water Street, were held this afternoon from the family home, 129 Pine Street. Reverend Karl H. Beck, pastor of Salem Reformed Church, officiated. Interment was in Allegany Cemetery.

Mrs. Hartig, a native of Consolidation Village and a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Strube, had been in ill health for several years.

Besides her husband and son, she is survived by two other sons, Philip, Jr., and John Hartig at this city. She was a sister of Adam Strube, Detroit, Michigan and Mrs. Mary Hurd, Greensburg, Pennsylvania.
