DANSVILLE - Patricia A. Burger, 60, of McWhorter Rd. in Dansville, passed away Thursday evening, July 13, 2000 at home following a long illness.

She was born in Sonyea on Dec. 9, 1939, the daughter of Gordon and Lucille George Mackey. On June 6, 1959, she married Richard 'Dick' Burger who survives.

Pat was a teacher's aid for the Dansville Central School District for 25 years, retiring in 1995. She touched many hearts and minds of the young people she took such great pleasure working with.

She was a communicant of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church of Dansville. She was a former Meals-on-Wheels volunteer and had also volunteered at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville.

Surviving in addition to her devoted husband Dick are her two children, Randy (Cheryl) Burger of Phoenix, Ariz. and Rhonda (Rob) Matthews of Pittsford; her mother Lucille Mackey, formerly of Mt. Morris; two brothers, Gordon (Lynette) Mackey of Nunda and Paul (Cheryl) Mackey of Syracuse; her three grandchildren, Robbie, Steven, and Chelsea Matthews; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
