Born in Blackfoot, the daughter of Peter R. Madsen and Martha Christina Peterson Madsen, Pearl Eliza Mardsen Gardner, married Sid E. Gardner July 21 1937 in the Idaho Falls. Later Solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple in 1975, she attended school in McDonaldville School and graduated from the eight grade. A working companion with her husband on their Groveland farm, she loved to garden, sew, do handiwork, fish, do word puzzles and spending time with her family. Surviving family members include her three daughters, Lela (Jim) Morris, Helen (Albert) Winson, Sidena (Kirk) Bitton; ten grandchildren: David Morris, Alisha Morris, Demii (Mark) Von Mettenheim, Annetta Winsom, Rochelle (Mike0 Crystal, Nicole Winson, Ryan (Beck) Bitton, April Marie Bitton, Camille Bitton, Emily Anne Bitton; nine great-grandchildren and one great great grandchild; sister, Louise Jorgensen; two brothers: Darwin Madsen and Ray Madsen. Passing away at her home in Blackfoot after a courageous battle with cancer, Pearl was preceded in death by her parents;, husband; one grandson, Kim Winson; four brothers: Lionel, Avin, Art and Earl; three sisters: Lela Marie, Violet Jones and Verda Harris.
