Mr. Carder had been suffering with lung disease for many months, but hoping against hope tried every remedy, even change of climate without being benefitted, until at last the angel of death came and claimed his own. In the prime of manhood, prosperous and happy it was hard to die; but neither prayers nor tears can stay the hand of the grim reaper death.
