Married Miss Matilda Elizabeth "Mattie" Farrand on 10 OCT 1877 in Knox County, Missouri. John W. Kendall, Justice of the Peace, performed the ceremony.

We regret to hear of the death of Mr. Frank Carder of Colony, which occurred on Sunday last. Deceased took a trip to Colorado a short time ago hoping it would benefit him, but it seems to have done him more harm than good. He was a clever gentleman.

Colony Cullings.
We were sorry to hear of the death of Frank Carder which occurred on the 25th of July. Mr. Carder had been suffering with lung disease for many months, but hoping against hope tried every remedy, even change of climate without being benefitted, until at last the angel of death came and claimed his own. In the prime of manhood, prosperous and happy it was hard to die; but neither prayers nor tears can stay the hand of the grim reaper death. For the sorrowing friends we feel the deepest sympathy, while we have only kind thoughts and pleasant memories of him who
