Leola Williamson Burton, 89, died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, at Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, Miss. Mrs. Burton was a lifelong resident of the Hopewell community in Little Rock.

She was a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church, where she served as church treasurer for more than 50 years. She worked at Peoples Bank of Union, now Regions, for more than 40 years. She was a graduate of Beulah Hubbard High School and East Central Community College.

Mrs. Burton was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Ivan A. Burton; her son, Randy Ivan Burton; her brother, Earlie Edgar Williamson; and sister, Mildred Arlena Williamson; and her parents, Joseph Jermany Williamson and Nettie Harrison Williamson.

The funeral service was held at the Hopewell Baptist Church in Little Rock on Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012, with visitation preceding. Rev. Jimmy McDill conducted the service. Interment was in the church cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Building Fund of Hopewell Baptist Church.
