SHERIDAN - Devin Lee Cavan, 21, of Sheridan died on September 22, 2013, as the result of a tragic accident. He was born at 8:58PM on December 19, 1991 in Dallas, Oregon to Bubby & Michelle. He attended school at Sheridan & graduated from Willamina High School in 2010.
Devin was a happy, smiley, care free and energetic person whose charisma was contagious. He was an avid athlete & excelled at every sport. He was competitive in everything he did & loved to climb the highest tree or jump from the highest rock. He was an absolute adrenaline junky. He was also an excellent "Big Brother". He bragged on his younger siblings and was proud of their accomplishments. His favorite teams were the Denver Broncos, Oregon Ducks, and Atlanta Braves.
He is survived by his father, Bubby Cavan, of Willamina, and his mother Michelle (Michael) Skjei, of Sheridan. He is also survived by his siblings, Skyler Skjei, Taylor Cavan, and Jacob Skjei. His surviving grandparents are Ron & Alfie Wilson, of Woodburn, Bessie Flanagan, of Willamina, Gary Cavan, of Sheridan, Pauline Cavan, of Sheridan, and Wanda Stuck, also of Sheridan. He is also survived by a large extended family and many friends.
A Celebration of Life is planned for Saturday, September 28th at 2:00PM at the Sheridan High School Gymnasium. The family wishes to thank all who have assisted and supported them through this time. They wish to express that they have no hard feelings towards those involved in this accident and place the blame on no one. Memorial Contributions are suggested to Sheridan Youth Organization in care of the Sheridan Chamber at US Bank or Dallas Mortuary Tribute Center is caring for the family.
