Timothy A. Sterner, 59, of Spring Grove, passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at home surrounded by his loving wife and sister-in-law. He was the husband of Brenda L. (Gosnell) Sterner for 1 year following a 22 year honeymoon.

Born February 13, 1954 in Hanover, he was the son of Herbert Harvey Sterner of Spring Grove and Constance Louise (Rinker) Sterner of Hanover.

Timothy graduated from Littlestown High School in 1972. Mr. Sterner was the owner of Haunted Mills Scream Park in Spring Grove for 25 years. He had a love of horses, having raised, bred, trained and shown Tennessee Walking horses. Timothy was a dairy, horse and hay farmer along with his family. He was also an avid hunter and traveler. Mr. Sterner took great pride in his property and his farming.

Along with his wife and parents, he is survived by his 2 sisters, Victoria A. Markle of Hanover and Peggy Jane Meckley of East Berlin; his brother, Michael H. Sterner of York; his sister-in-law, Margaret Sterner of Spring Grove; 2 step-brothers, Jamie and Justin Phillips both of Spring Grove; and his 3 dogs, Hope, Toolbox and Frankie Blue Eyes. Timothy is preceded in death by his 2 brothers, Herbert J. and Andrew G. Sterner.
